Moynihan U.S. Courthouse Renovation General Services Administration New York, NY
The Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse serves the United States District Court for the Southern District, the United States Marshals Service, the US Magistrate Courts as well as Probation, Pretrial and other court-related functions. It was completed in 1995 with approximately 921,321 gross square feet on 27 stories.
This renovation of 85,000sf reconstituted space which had been converted to swing space. RMA was responsible for the design and construction documents for three new Judges’ Chambers Suites totaling 6,447sf. The work included the Judges’ Chambers, Clerks’ Offices, Reception spaces, bathrooms, storage and service units. It also included coordination with the existing building utilities and security systems.
