Conrad Duberstein U.S. Courthouse & PO General Services Administration Brooklyn, NY
This project included the renovation of 485,000sf and the addition of 90,000sf to a building on the National Register of Historic Places. It accommodates US Bankruptcy Courts, a US Post Office, US Attorney’s offices as well as offices for five other federal government agencies.
Original exterior and interior elements were restored. New elements were added in a manner that is compatible with but distinct from the historic construction as is consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards. Completely new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, data, telecommunications and security systems were introduced throughout the building.
